This year, Moxa competed for the Red Dot quality seal alongside 1,816 manufacturers, designers, and architects from 53 nations. In an evaluation process lasting several days, the 40 members of the Red Dot jury tested, discussed and evaluated 4,815 products, with Moxa’s MPC-2240 marine panel computer selected as a winner for its outstanding design and quality.
The Red Dot design award is one of the world's most renowned and respected awards for product design. Winners have been selected every year since 1995 under the auspice of Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen. Recipients of Red Dot recognition are highly regarded around the world.
The MPC-2240 is a sleek, modular, 24 inch flat marine panel computer for marine e-navigation systems. Powered by an Intel® Ivy Bridge CPU, the MPC-2240 panel computers are built to gracefully handle the heavy graphic computing demands that marine applications such as ECDIS and radar systems require.
The MPC-2240 is intended to help reduce deployment costs and overall time-to-market by allowing convenient and rapid integration into a wide variety of systems. Because it is fanless, the MPC-2240’s delivers greater reliability over the long term when working through the heat extremes common in industrial marine environments, for which they are certified by the most demanding marine standards: IEC 60945, DNV, and IACS E10, as well as type-approved ECDIS IEC 61174 models (on request).
