Rolled-out by DNB as part of a giant corporate identity revamp project, the 473 256×32 pixel one meter wide LED displays powered by Scala technology play a crucial role at each of the banks’ four new flagship branches.
“With the entire corporate redesign project, DNB has become one equal brand,” said Christian Lie, Senior Advisor Digital Signage, Design Xpress at DNB. “We’ve gone from being 7 or 8 brands to being one. We now have a single culture, design direction and profile which makes it easier to maintain and manage the brand.”
The video walls, the largest of which measures 60m wide, deliver critical business benefits by attracting the attention of passers-by from the outside whilst delivering useful marketing information to those viewing them from the inside.
At each of the four branches, located at prime locations in Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim, Scala’s advanced monitor function distributes content to a single video wall through a single computer. Scala mp4 encoding scales the content to a variety of dimensions.
The installation also features a queuing system by Q-matic, which is displayed on several screens inside the branch as well as on a 4-screen video wall behind the counter.
“What we most like about the Scala solution is its simplicity and effectiveness,” said Lie. “The Scala technology provides the possibility to publish marketing material in DNB’s branches, in an easy an efficient way. A good way to view and control what is shown on our branches monitors.”
DNB’s new look was designed and created by renowned Norwegian designers Snøhetta. The video wall roll-out was handled by Scala’s local partner Atea.
