Wolfson Microelectronics plc, a global leader in the design and development of mixed-signal semiconductor devices and audio solutions for consumer electronics products, has today announced the introduction of the WM5102S, the latest ground-breaking product from its innovative Audio Hub portfolio, which will allow consumers to experience 24-bit, 192 kHz high-resolution Master Hi-Fi™ audio playback on a mobile device.
The WM5102S features a class-leading 120dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and integrates Wolfson’s advanced Master Hi-Fi™ filters, which are optimised for authentic playback of 24-bit Studio Master recordings. Wolfson’s Master Hi-Fi™ filters bring the unique and highly-rated sonic quality of Wolfson’s ultra-high performance WM8741 DAC to mobile devices, enabling premium high fidelity music playback quality at a fraction of the power consumption, size and cost of systems designed for high-end home audio.
