Kim Shepherd, CEO of Decision Toolbox, has been honored with a prestigious “2014 Enterprising Women of the Year” award for demonstrating leadership and growth in business, as well as for her penchant for mentoring and giving back to other female executives. Shepherd has more than 20 years of executive business experience and has been a prominent and involved member of the community her entire working life.
Sponsored by Enterprising Women magazine, the twelfth annual Enterprising Women of the Year Awards received a record number of nominees worldwide. Award recipients were selected in one of six categories to become part of the national Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Class of 2014. Winners were selected based on business growth, commitment to mentoring or actively supporting other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship and role as a community leader. The award recognizes the finest female entrepreneurs globally and is considered one of the most prestigious recognition programs for female business owners.
“I am excited and proud to be recognized as an ‘Enterprising Woman’ and to join an esteemed group of other leading female business leaders,” says Shepherd. “Inspiring and supporting other women in business has been one of my passions for many years, and is the reason I am such an advocate for organizations such as Girls Inc. and the National Association for Women Business Owners.”

She is an active member of the Adaptive Business Leaders Executive Roundtable, National Association for Women Business Owners, Orange County (NAWBO-OC), National Human Resources Association and the Orange County Employment Management Association. In 2013, she was honored by NAWBO-OC with the Remarkable Women award in the category of Innovator of the Year.
