The new task order includes technical and analytical support for strategic planning, domestic policy formulation, and international cooperation in the areas of technology research and development, climate change, and economic and policy analysis.
“This win builds on more than eight years of continuous support that Energetics has provided to the Office of Policy and International Affairs,” said Energetics President Nancy Margolis. “The award is a testament to our reputation of providing responsive and high-quality professional services at the leading edge of climate and energy policy issues.”
IA is the primary DOE policy advisor on international energy policy, including analysis, development, evaluation, and implementation. IA provides leadership and strategies to implement international aspects of the energy policy of the United States and serves as the lead entity on international energy engagements for DOE and the U.S. government.
Energetics’ (energetics.com) recent work with IA and related DOE offices includes development of studies and new efforts to address climate change adaptation concerns and solutions in the U.S. energy sector; research and analysis on policies and measures that encourage deployment of clean energy and climate-resilient technologies and practices; and secretariat- and activity-level support for international bilateral and multilateral clean energy and climate change initiatives, including the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM), the U.S.-China Clean Energy Research Center (CERC), the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and the Major Economies Forum (MEF).
