Intelligent InSites, Inc., the leading provider of real-time operational intelligence for healthcare, has announced an executive leadership transition, effective January 31, 2014. Margaret Laub has decided to step down as the President and CEO of Intelligent InSites in order to focus on her family. Doug Burgum, Executive Chairman of the Board of Intelligent InSites and co-founder and chairman of Arthur Ventures, has accepted the role of interim President and CEO of Intelligent InSites.
Arthur Ventures is a venture-capital group that focuses on cloud-based software companies and is the lead institutional investor in Intelligent InSites.
With 30 years of experience in the software industry, Doug Burgum has built, invested in and sold companies that created more than $5 billion in shareholder value, including Great Plains, the leading mid-market ERP software company, which went public in 1997, and was acquired by Microsoft in 2001 for $1.1 billion. Burgum served as an executive at Microsoft until 2007. Following Microsoft, Doug Burgum became an investor and later Chairman of the Board of SuccessFactors, a cloud-based leader in business execution software, which was acquired in 2012 by SAP for $3.4 billion.
In addition to serving as the Executive Chairman of the Board of Intelligent InSites, Burgum is the Chairman of the Board and an investor of Atlassian, whose software products help product teams to plan, build, and launch great software. He also serves on the board of Preventice, a leading developer of remote/mobile cardiac monitoring solutions.

The Board of Directors of Intelligent InSites has commenced the executive search for a new president and CEO. Burgum will serve as CEO until the new CEO is on board.
