There are hundreds of thousands of people in the UK who have large heads, finding eyewear to fit them has always been a problem as eyewear is traditionally manufactured to fit only “average” size heads.

Fatheadz (fatheadz.co.uk) was founded in 2004 by Rico Elmore in Brownsburg, Indiana, USA. It has enjoyed considerable success and now supplies its products to Walmart as well as hundreds of Opticians across the USA. The product range is extensive, Optical Frames and Sunglasses for all style and budget preferences for both Men and Women.
Fatheadz UK is the sole distributor for the Fatheadz range in the UK. The full range is available to buy online at the Fatheadz UK website or at Retail Partners.
Fatheadz...the name may be a bit “tongue in cheek”, but the range fulfils a very real need...comfortable well fitted frames for people who previously could not find frames to fit due to having a larger than average head.
Standard Optical Frames currently stop at around 140mm wide. We have found that the use of an outward pivoting arm to “increase the width” is the common solution provided to people with larger heads. This is not a good solution as the arm invariably cuts into the persons head, & the look is far from satisfactory as the comparably small frame has the effect of making the persons head look even larger.
Tight fitting frames are uncomfortable & can cause headaches. Our Sunglasses & Optical Frames come in widths of 135 to 165mm.
