Future, the international media group and leading digital business, was a big winner at yesterday’s Digital Magazine Awards receiving four major accolades.
Edge was named Specialist Magazine of the Year, Computer Arts won Visual Magazine of the Year, Jamie Magazine, produced using the FutureFolio app creation solution, was crowned Launch of the Year (New Format) and Edge’s Phil Haycraft was named Designer of the Year.
In addition, Total Film was highly commended for Film, TV & Entertainment Magazine of the Year, MacFormat was highly commended for Specialist Magazine of the Year, Matthew Pierce was highly commended for Publisher/Manager of the Year and Jamie Magazine was highly commended for Food and Drink Magazine of the Year. Future’s customer content agency, FuturePlus, was also rewarded for their partnerships with Auto Trader and Tesco. Auto Trader’s ignition was highly commended for Motoring Magazine of the Year and Tesco’s Technology & Entertainment magazine was highly commended for Customer Magazine of the Year.
The Digital Magazine Awards are the most coveted international magazine awards in the world, celebrating the best magazines, individuals and advertisers from the digital publishing industry, in which Future is at the forefront. Future has been named Consumer Digital Publisher of the Year for three years in a row by the Association of Online Publishers (2011, 2012, 2013) and is currently the Professional Publishers Association Digital Publisher of the Year and the British Media Awards Media Company of the Year.
The Jamie Magazine app, powered by Folio, recently won a 2013 Lovie, as well as being named in Apple’s Apps of 2012, and the FutureFolio team was commended at this year’s PPA Awards in the Development Team of the Year category.
