Capital Safety, home of the DBI-SALA and PROTECTA brands of fall protection equipment has announced the launch of their new DBI-SALA Rollgliss® Technical Rescue Pre-Sewn Prusik Loops.
The new range of Pre-Sewn Prusik Loops eliminates the use of knots that could work their way free. Constructed from high strength kernmantle rope, they provide a sliding hitch that is strong and ready for use when required. The stitched ends are covered in clear heat shrink to provide added protection and easy visual inspection, while allowing the short loop end of the prusik to be choked down so it bites onto the karabiner, keeping it under tension in the correct orientation.
“Our pre-sewn prusiks are not only more convenient and easier to use than tied prusiks, they have a higher level of safety, as the sewn ends eliminate the use of knots that could become loose,” said Ashley Campbell, National Training & Rescue Manager for Capital Safety. “They provide a safe, reliable and convenient knot free Prusik loop that is compact, easy to handle and ready for use when and where a Prusik is required.”
Available in three different sized colour coded diameter ropes: 6, 7 and 8mm, each diameter rope is available in a variety of lengths that can be used for specific technical rope rescue and industrial access applications.
