Farmigo connects communities with local farms and food artisans, allowing people to order online from a variety of fresh foods -- seasonal fruits, veggies, and dairy, fish and meat, from a selction of sustainable farms and picking it all up in one convenient location within 48 hours of harvest. It’s like creating your own personalized farmer’s market in the comfort of your own home.
Support local farmers and your local economy. Enjoy fresh-from-harvest food. Replace processed foods with real food!
Recently, Farmigo launched its Champion Initiative, where anyone can start their own local food business. A Champion - or community food leader - invites people to join Farmigo and determines a location to distribute the food (such as home, school, church, or community center). Champions receive 10% of their food community sales. Many Champions utilize their Farmigo earnings as a school fundraiser.
The site offers online marketing tools, a community dashboard to help manage orders and advice and support from other Champions.
And the weekly food pickups can help to create a true food community, where people can chat about recipes, entertaining and more. Who knows? Maybe someone has ideas on how to get kids to eat their vegetables!
