NewswireTODAY - /newswire/ - Melbourne, New South Wales, Australia, 2007/02/05 - Diskeeper Corporation launched a new version of its award-winning performance enhancement software called, Diskeeper 2007®, now fully compatible for Windows® Vista - Pixel.com.au.

The release not only performs its defragmentation duties better and faster, but also enhances the speed of the Vista file system itself. Defragmentation is now done on the fly, as fragmentation occurs, using only idle system resources. This approach ensures maximum speed and reliability at all times.

Diskeeper does this by utilizing a newly developed technology called, InvisiTasking™, which enables it to run invisibly in the background without intruding on system demands. This transparency is achieved by tapping only into unused CPU and I/O resources and then processing Diskeeper’s own activities on the most granular level. The result is the most non-intrusive file system performance enhancement software ever built. You simply install Diskeeper 2007 and it does the rest for you—boosting Windows Vista performance automatically.

New Benefits for Diskeeper 2007 for Vista Include:

• Boosted anti-virus scans and back-up speeds through automatic online directory consolidation.

• Maximum system performance for home office to large corporations through real-time defragmentation that automatically and transparently handles fragmentation as it occurs.

• Dramatically increased file access time by up to 80% (20% average) above and beyond the existing benefits of defragmentation, through I-FAAST™ 2.0 (Intelligent File Access Acceleration Sequencing Technology).

• Terabyte Volume Engine™ 2.0 – Powerful defragmentation for high capacity & high traffic servers with disk volumes containing hundreds of thousands to millions of files (e.g. NAS, RAID, and SAN). Also allows unobtrusive, thorough free space consolidation on busy 24/7 servers.
