Assurance, the second largest independent insurance brokerage in Illinois and the 23rd largest independent insurance agency in the country, has chosen AccelOps' analytics-driven IT Operations Management for cloud and virtualized infrastructures to automate its security and compliance functions.
Assurance, which has offices near Chicago and St. Louis, transitioned its IT functions in-house and now handles log management and tracking, Security Event and Information Management (SIEM), as well as compliance and reports. Due to the transition to in-house, the brokerage company needed a solution that delivered a holistic view of its infrastructure's performance and availability.

"We monitor and flag security events and anything suspicious," Adams said. "With AccelOps, we now have a capability we've never had. We now have not only security events covered, but also network and system performance and availability, which allow us to correlate events and security incidents."
AccelOps offers more than 100,000 security, performance, availability and change events out of the box. The software correlates these events into more than 325 rules, which allow for immediate visibility into every aspect across the data center.
