AccuVein, Inc., the leader in vein illumination, today announced a three-year agreement with Novation for the award-winning AccuVein AV400, a non-contact vein illumination device that projects a pattern of light on a patient’s skin revealing vein position for procedures requiring vein location.
The new contract with Novation, the leading healthcare supply chain expertise, analytics and contracting company for the more than 65,000 members and affiliates of VHA, UHC, Children’s Hospital Association and Provista, is effective until July 31, 2016.
“Offering AccuVein vein illumination products to the broad and diverse group of members served by Novation supports our goal of providing healthcare professionals with a device that helps improve patient care and satisfaction,” said Dan Delaney, COO, AccuVein.
Locating peripheral vasculature is invaluable in many medical procedures that require vein access or avoidance. Accessing a vein for IV starts, blood draw and sclerotherapy procedures, as well as avoiding veins in surgery and cosmetic procedures, are all successful applications of the device.
