With an easy-to-use, lightweight yet durable design, the Kernmantle Rope Pole Strap range was engineered to meet the demands of linesmen for work positioning, restraint and assisted climbing when the use of a rope pole strap is preferred. The new Rope Pole Strap range complements DBI-SALA’s current range of pole straps that are available in webbing or wire core.
“Pole straps are extensively used within the utilities industries for climbing electricity and telecommunications poles under restraint,” said Rick Millar, Technical Manager with Capital Safety Australia & New Zealand “The new light weight adjuster on our rope pole straps provides and easy and efficient lightweight adjustment system that is easily adjusted, even whilst working.”
Constructed from hi-vis yellow kernmantle rope for easy identification and added visual safety, they are available in various lengths with a variety of connector configurations including double or triple action for easy connection to the user’s harness, and include a heavy duty Integral woven polyester wear sleeve that provides abrasion resistance and extends product life. They feature fully compatible hardware with 16kN gate strength on all hooks to remove the risk of accidental disengagement from excessive gate loadings and forced roll-out.
DBI-SALA’s i-Safe™ intelligent safety system utilising RFID technology is built into each pole strap to track inspections, control inventory and manage information.
