CloudPay, the pioneer of SaaS-based payroll automation for multinationals, today announced that it has expanded its presence in Brazil with the establishment of a new office in São Paulo. The expansion is part of CloudPay’s overall strategy to deliver enhanced global payroll solutions that help multi-national organizations to comply with Brazil’s complex payroll regulations. To achieve this goal, CloudPay partnered with Apdata, a leading provider of payroll solutions in Brazil, to leverage the company’s technology, expertise and customer base.
Brazil continues to experience rapid economic growth, and the country has emerged as the sixth-largest economy in the world with a GDP of US$2.4 trillion. Along with this growth and its rising status in the global marketplace, Brazil has been a focus of business development, providing an attractive landscape for multinationals looking to expand their operations. It has also spurred strong growth among companies within the country, with eight Brazilian companies now within the Global Fortune 500.
Although CloudPay has undertaken payroll services for the Brazilian market for nearly a decade and currently serves many clients in the country, the company saw the opportunity to further build on its capabilities to service the ever-growing number of multi-national organizations operating in the country and to achieve additional growth through providing services to Brazil-based multi-national companies. To accomplish this, CloudPay signed an agreement with Apdata, the leading payroll and HR service and software provider in the Brazilian market, which enables the company to provide more comprehensive service to customers in Brazil and throughout the Latin American region. Under the terms of the partnership, Apdata’s payroll engine technology will be embedded into the CloudPay global payroll management platform. CloudPay’s team of Brazilian subject matter experts will operate payroll for its clients with full the support of Apdata’s engineering and subject matter resources, and CloudPay and Apdata will together offer Brazil-based multi-national companies a comprehensive and complete global payroll solution.
With more than 30 years of experience with Brazil’s complex payroll regulations, particularly in challenging industries such as mining and medical care, Apdata delivers the knowledge and expertise to ensure its clients achieve full compliance. In addition to a strong local presence, with its 330 employees recruited locally to give clients increased flexibility, speed and responsiveness, Apdata currently processes more than 550,000 payslips per month.
