ChemImage Corp. announced that recently they exhibited at the 22nd Congress of Criminology hosted in Brasilia, Brazil where they demonstrated their state-of-the-art hyperspectral imaging system the HSI Examiner TM 200 QD, along with providing a presentation on the latest innovations in the analysis of forensic applications.
The presentation, given by Jeffery A. Beckstead, Ph.D. the Forensic Line of Business Director of Product Development at ChemImage, centered on the company’s hyperspectral imaging analysis technology and its ability to assist forensic scientists in applications such as questioned documents, ink discrimination, blood spatter and serology. During the presentation Dr. Beckstead provided real-world examples and showcased the HSI Examiner TM 200 QD’s advanced, integrated statistical spectral processing features which provide greater sensitivity to alterations and revealing crucial, fine details in question documents than other systems currently available.
Additionally, during the four day exhibition, ChemImage representatives provided demonstrations of the HSI Examiner TM 200 QD’s full range hyperspectral imaging, spectral processing, and easy-to-use graphical software capabilities to forensic scientists and members of the police force from all over Brazil.
“It was a great opportunity to present and demonstrate our system’s capabilities to the audience of the 22nd Congress of Criminology,” said Dr. Beckstead. “This was our first time demonstrating the HSI Examiner TM 200 QD in Brazil, and I believe we were able to demonstrate how the system can quickly and easily assist them in their casework.”
