Charles River Analytics, a developer of intelligent systems solutions, is collaborating with 5D Robotics to develop an autonomous robot for the US Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC). Under the MINOTAUR contract, Charles River and 5D Robotics will develop software allowing autonomous navigation of small unmanned ground robots (SUGVs). Working alongside Soldiers and first responders, these robots can be controlled by visual and gestured commands. MINOTAUR integrates Charles River’s vision-based tracking and gesture recognition technology with 5D Robotics’s 5D Behavior Engine.
