The new product provides graphically displayed exposure and analysis management for carriers and brokers.
Sequel Impact gives the underwriter’s front office, for the first time, in one product and in real time, an accurate graphically displayed exposure and analysis management tool. Cloud based, it is available on devices ranging from desktops to tablets. Little training is needed and the product can be up and running in a matter of days.
“The arrival of this secure, intuitive and innovative product dramatically improves decision making in insurance,” says Michael Graham of Sequel. “It’s going to change insurance from monochrome to HD colour; it’s map based, it’s visual and it brings together the key elements that were never available before in one place to inform the user speedily and accurately.
“Until today, what used to be an expensive and time consuming operation fraught with multiple points of failure is now plain sailing. Sequel Impact gives a genuinely user friendly, affordable and accurate measure of accumulated exposure instantaneously. It’s an expert tool designed to complement the experienced professional’s feel for the market. The product is particularly relevant to property and casualty insurers needing immediate visibility of exposure to terrorism, earthquakes, windstorms and floods but it is going to be highly useful to all firms wanting to put their exposure on one system - for example: aviation, marine and livestock. In fact, any firm offering insurance needs this kind of functionality,” he continues.
“And it’s simple and fast to get up and running. There are no class of business or geographic restrictions with Sequel Impact and any peril can be entered. It uses the insurer’s own data and is completely open it will integrate easily with whatever system the customer is using,” Graham concludes.
The September 2013 go live date for Sequel Impact was announced in June 2013.
