In this action-packed defense game you help Koko Kornelius, the coconut-throwing, adventurous monkey to defend the forest from vicious, mustache-loving tree-cutters. Rescue a wide variety of animals and discover unique items.
Here is a few examples of the positive response from the press:
“…ton of bang for your buck…Lumberwhack is perfect for quick sessions, long playthroughs, or anything in-between. Although it’s incredibly simple in nature, it’s also one of the most fun castle defense games I’ve played in a while. “Touch Arcade, 4 out of 5 Stars.
“This is tower-defense gaming evolved: incorporating features of other titles in the genre and refining them into something addictively pure. Whether you enjoy the graphics, collecting all the animals, or competing for best score on Survival mode, there’s something for the casual and veterans of the genre here.” NoobSource, 8+ out of 10 Score.
“…makes the time pass quickly. With plenty of levels on offer and no in-app purchases in sight, Lumberwhack: Defend the Wild should keep many a tower defense fan happy for a while to come…” 148Apps, 4 out of 5 Stars.
Koloss Interactive, the one-man game studio behind Lumberwhack is activily talking to the player community to make Lumberwhack an even greater game. Currently there has already been three minor updates for the game. New content will eventually be released after the Android version has been finished.
Here is what the player community have been saying:
“A clever combination of many different genres, it really feels like the designer understands what makes iPad gaming unique. Also happy to see a game with this much choice and content that doesn't punish exploration with trips to the in game shop to pay for unlocks. Zombieville and PvZ fans will feel right at home with the humor and aesthetic, and there's a lot of content for the price. Five stars!”, 5 Stars.
“Solid side scroller defense game! Only 0.99 and no IAP! Nice to see this developer cares about their user base with the patches that have come out.”, 5 Stars.
“Fun, addicting game! I don't normally write reviews but this is one of the better 99 cents I've spent. It's definitely a little inspired by plants vs zombies, yet completely original! Definitely buy this if you're on the fence!” 5 Stars.
“Awesome tower defense game. Really well made. Great animation, innovative hero control system lets you stay active while summoning troops. Doesn't really reinvent the wheel wich is a good thing, just simple and extremely fun side scrolling defense. Couldn't put it down til I beat the last of the 60+ levels. No in ur face iap like most others like it. Can't recommend it enough, get it!”, 5 Stars.
Lumberwhack (lumberwhack.com) is still available for a limited discount and can be found on the iTunes App Store for only $0.99.
