Aimed at all those with an interest in learning, around the globe, Todd’s blog will be updated every two weeks. Each posting will give a fresh perspective on L&D-related themes and issues. The first blog, which is now live, touches on employee engagement and asks whether learning has a role in making employees happier.
“The blog is an extension of our commitment to open communication and it’s another way for us to engage with clients and other interested parties,” said Todd Turner. “My aim will be to keep things short and to the point, as I know we are all busy people. Anyone involved in L&D will know that learning brings its own challenges and sometimes we all need some respite from the day job. I’ll be offering personal reflections and light-hearted comment on the realities, and the absurdities, of how learning’s impact can be seen in everyday life experiences. I hope the content will be interesting and informative and that the blog can become a forum where others will post comments and share ideas and opinions.”
Todd Turner joined Hemsley Fraser in 2006 and has been the company’s CEO since 2011. He has overseen its growth and expansion to become a global learning provider of managed learning services, in-company and customised learning programmes, consulting services and open training courses. As an American transplant to London, his perspective will offer a glimpse into how culture differences and norms impact everyday learning situations.
