Savage, the worldwide leader in backgrounds and photographic products, has unveiled its new blog.
The blog’s goal is to create a community of and for photographers looking for a central place to access cutting edge information on the multi-faceted and rapidly changing photography world. At the Savage blog site, they’ll be able to tap into a wealth of information on various aspects of the industry, ranging from general photo techniques and product information to business and marketing tips and discussions of product use in the field.
Posts will also contain information and reviews on Savage’s extensive line of studio and digital products written by industry experts as well as links to blogs by professional photographers around the world. “There’s so much data to be accessed and sometimes not enough time to do it,” said Rich Reiser, COO of Savage. “Our vision is to create a place where photographers can come and find not only the information they’re looking for on Savage products but also information and inspiration from their colleagues.”
Key features of the Savage blog include the aforementioned product-focused posts, which will comprise a large portion of the blog. The blog also features photographer spotlight pages with profiles, articles, photos and product reviews, as well as “Content Collections” compilations of all blog content in specific categories. “For example, if someone’s looking for a complete rundown on muslin backdrops or opening their own studio, they’ll be able to access everything we’ve published on these topics in one spot,” Reiser said. “We think it will be a great resource.”
Savage has assembled a team of professional photographers and freelance writers to populate the blog’s content and will open content submission to all industry experts in the near future.
