The annual festival is held each year in downtown Milford, Michigan, and is hosted by the Huron Valley Chamber of Commerce.
By adding a real-time social media component to the festival this year, visitors will be able to get up-to-the-minute event information, schedule changes, and real-time weather alerts delivered directly to their cell phones. They can also use social media to ask questions or get specific information during the event, as well as to get the latest event news, pictures, and videos via social media channels.
The Five Sparrows mobile office will be parked at the corner of Main St. and Liberty, where staff members will be tweeting, posting, and sending mobile messages throughout the entire weekend. All official schedule changes, event announcements, or other time-sensitive information will be published through social media as well.
