Automation Devices, Inc. (ADI) has added a pneumatic driven inline feeder to its product line. This model, a variation of the existing T-18 inline feeder, part number 5300P, is designed for use where electrical voltage is unwanted, typically in hazardous locations.
Inline feeders convey oriented parts in a linear motion across tracks from a vibratory feeder bowl. ADI's unique self-canceling design reduces the vibration transmitted to the mounting surface. Inline feeders can be fastened directly to the machine base and requires no rubber feet for mounting.
The new pneumatic T-18 inline feeder has the same dimensions and size as the standard version. The pneumatic model features ¼ inch one touch tube connections, air consumption of 3.7 cfm at 80 psi, 3900 vibrations per minute at 80 psi and remote exhaust for quiet operation. It can be used in conjunction with an intrinsically safe valve for use in hazardous locations. This model can be adjustable for variations in track weight or nonadjustable.
ADI Project Designer, Dallas Holmes has seen a recent surge in companies requiring hazardous location equipment. “Recently we’re seeing a greater need for vibratory feeding equipment specifically for use in hazardous locations, possibly due to the ammunition shortage.” says Holmes. “The 5300P is a great addition to our product line and fills the void for an intrinsically safe inline feeder to complement our other intrinsically safe feeding equipment.”
Automation Devices, Inc. (autodev.com) produces a full line of tooled and untooled vibratory feeders and components including inline feeders, custom made tracks, level control switches, hoppers and inline feeders. They are located in Fairview, Pa just outside of Erie.
