Pearson Livestock Equipment is pleased to announce new ownership. David and Ricky Rater acquired the Thedford, Nebraska company in January of 2013.
Pearson Livestock Equipment has a long and rich history of manufacturing innovative and quality livestock equipment. In 1961, Bud Pearson built the first self-catch head gate on his ranch near Thedford, NE. Jack and Gail Johnston purchased the company from Bud in 1990 and grew the company to include international distribution in Australia, Russia, China, Finland and the UK. As one of the only companies to manufacture Bison systems, the bison product line is being used as far away as Russia.
The new owners are committed to keeping the traditions and also moving the company forward. Ricky serves as General Manager of Pearson's, Inc. and offices at our headquarters in Thedford . David resides in Texas, where he continues to serve as a Pearson Livestock Equipment distributor for Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Louisiana. Key members of the staff continue to work for the company and are keeping the tradition of quality and customer service Pearson customers have enjoyed since 1962.
