Post production facilities company BTV Post are to open what is to be one of the fastest file delivery services on the South Coast and the fastest in Brighton.
The connection means the company will be able to guarantee delivery of digital video content at lightening speeds between their London and Brighton facilities, as well as offer unparalleled file delivery speeds to and from Brighton and the South Coast area.
Spearheaded by Jon Lee, the chief technical officer for BTV Post, the new super fast connection is part of the continued rejuvenation of its technical infrastructure, as it continues to expand its portfolio of digital media services.
Set for September 2013, the new Brighton 600mbps synchronous connection will make it will be possible to move a one hour TV show• to London in 20-30 minutes: many times faster than using a courier while remaining just as cost-effective.
To put it into context, the new speed of file delivery is faster than copying the same file directly onto a PC from a USB2.0 stick or Firewire 400 connection.
The new data connection will be at the technological forefront for file delivery in the UK and help bolster BTV Post’s position as a leader in the field among independent post production houses.
