The new show will be run in partnership with the publishers of Triathlon Plus magazine and TriRadar.com, Future.
The London Triathlon Plus Show will be tailored to attract not only experienced triathletes but also those who are new to the sport. It will provide visitors with the opportunity to get their hands on new clothing, equipment and accessories, provide opportunities to meet world class triathletes, offer training advice, 1-2-1 assessments and information on events & training camps all before the 2014 season gets underway. Taking place at ExCeL, home of the Virgin Active London Triathlon, it will be the ideal event for triathletes of all abilities.
The show will focus heavily on performance, and the TriRadar.com Training Zone, will be central to this. Replicating the BikeRadar.com Training Hub, (a very successful element from The London Bike Show), VOS Media will work with a training partner to offer visitors 1-2-1 assessments in cycling, swimming, running and transition at a premium price. The BikeRadar.com Training Hub has been extremely popular with visitors to The London Bike Show, offering an experience normally out of reach for average cyclists.
The London Triathlon Plus Show will be held alongside existing VOS Media shows, The London Bike Show and The Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show (formerly The Outdoors Show), as well as the MCN Motorcycle Show (organised by Bauer Media) and one other relevant show, to be announced shortly. One ticket will allow visitors into all five events providing the perfect base to launch this new show and provide exhibitors with thousands of affluent visitors in buying mode.
The London Triathlon Plus Show will be promoted via an extensive marketing campaign, which will feature advertising and editorial in Triathlon Plus (including an in-depth show preview edition), and on TriRadar.com, as well as heavyweight promotion, both online and in-print throughout The Daily Telegraph and The Telegraph website.
The campaign will also include advertisements in the London Evening Standard as well as advertising on the London Underground.
The substantial marketing campaign will help to establish the event as the largest triathlon show in the UK, and expose the fantastic sport of triathlon to the mass population thus getting more people involved in the sport.
Geraldine Reeve, VOS Media’s Group Show Director, commented:
“After the success and fast paced-growth of The London Bike Show (launched in 2011), we are dedicated to replicating this success with the London Triathlon Plus Show. The Show will provide the perfect opportunity for exhibitors to get their products out to a large, engaged audience. Triathlon adds a new dimension to our offering at ExCeL and will attract a number of new exhibitors and visitors.”
“Working closely with our owners, TMG, and Future we’ll be able to promote the show to a huge, nationwide audience and provide the triathlon industry with a show reaching current and potential triathletes.”
“Over the last three years we’ve enjoyed a great relationship with Future and they’ve been a key partner in the success of The London Bike Show. We are excited to be strengthening our partnership and creating this brand new event for triathletes.”
VOS Media have recruited experienced Sales Manager Dan Moseley to help develop the new show. Dan previously worked as Sales Manager for TCR Shows, working on TCR and The London Running Show. Dan commented:
“I’m delighted to have joined VOS Media and to be working on this new exciting project. The partnership with Future will help us put together a very strong offering, and the timing of the event is perfect for the coming season. The timing will allow exhibitors to interact with triathletes and build relationships before the 2014 season gets underway.”
Dave Clutterbuck, Group Publisher at Future, added:
“Future are delighted to be working in partnership with VOS Media to launch the London Triathlon Plus Show. As publishers of Triathlon Plus (the fastest growing Triathlon Magazine in the UK), and TriRadar.com we can’t wait to bring our products to life and offer triathletes a show which reflects the content they want performance advice and the latest clothing and equipment.”
“The London Triathlon Plus Show will help the magazine and website fulfill their full potential and offer advertisers a fantastic benefit. We have worked closely with VOS Media over the previous three years on The London Bike Show and believe their events expertise, combined with our industry expertise will help create a fantastic experience for visitors and exhibitors.”
