Vivid Racing is progressing with their strong presence in the Porsche market with their new acquisition of a 2011 Panamera Turbo. It becomes the newest project car for VR, a follow-up to their 996s and 997s, and brings a new twist with its 4-door sedan styling. First seen as a test car by Vivid Racing in 2008, the Panamera was followed over the last few years, with VR keeping in touch with its styling, features, and performance. When it came time to purchase one, the blue exterior and black leather interior with PCCB brakes was the choice for this makeover.
Vivid Racing (vividracing.com) had the opportunity to work on products for the Panamera Turbo back in 2011. They developed a high flow y-Pipe and catback exhaust system. For this project car, they have a couple of upgrades to showcase. First, the car already had a set of Vorsteiner VS-140 21 inch wheels wrapped in Michelin tires. This was perfect because of their cooperation with Vorsteiner on outfitting their car with their aero kit upgrade. Having had Vorsteiner on many of their past project cars, they knew the quality and fitment would be there. Even more important to Vivid Racing was the styling, which is spot on with the direction they wanted to go. The front bumper, rear bumper with diffuser, and side skirts is a combination of adding aggressiveness while keeping it classy. Because of the air ride suspension, lowering the car is usually done with the typical lowering module. However, they are going to take on a new piece of technology by KW Suspension by adding their DLC system to the car. Controlled by an iPhone app, you can save different profiles with ride height settings to go anywhere from stock down to 60mm drop.
This Panamera TT will be showing off many more upgrades “down the road”.
