For the last 11 years, the first Thursday in June has been the most important date for abas customers in Hungary. Balaton Bavaria Yacht Club hosted the abas customer day again this year from June 6 to June 8. More than 140 abas customers participated in ERP workshops, networking activities, and presentations held by ABAS Software AG and the local abas partner in Hungary on the latest innovations for abas Business Suite.
The event was kicked off with a welcoming speech by Istvan Hoffer, Managing Director of InterJNET Computing Ltd, a local abas software partner in Hungary. He briefly reflected on the past year and announced the opening of their new office in Györ at the end of this year, which will be their third office in Hungary, along with the offices in Budapest and Jászberény. He also emphasized the importance of the booming region of Györ. “Two years ago, we only had two abas customers in this region, but now we have more than eleven, so it is important for us to provide them with fast services to ensure high customer satisfaction,” explained Istvan Hoffer. He also honored the many companies that have now been using abas Business Suite in Hungary for five, ten, and even fifteen years. These long-time customers were recognized with certificates of appreciation for their trust and confidence in working with the software and software partner.
ABAS Software AG holds presentations at Balaton
Peter Forscht, COO of ABAS Software AG, also attended the customer day at Balaton and spoke about the merger with the long-time partner ABAS Projektierung that was announced several weeks ago. “We at ABAS Software AG are preparing ourselves for the future and are happy to have reached an agreement with ABAS Projektierung. This merger will ensure our economic stability and high customer satisfaction around the world,” stated Peter Forscht. As a result of this merger ABAS Software AG will gain approximately 165 new employees to continue to improve abas Business Suite with vertical optimizations and best-practices, while providing greater support to abas users and partners from around the world.
Further ABAS Software AG presentations were held by International Marketing Manager James D. Jamaleldine, who focused on recent global activities in China and Saudi Arabia, as well as by International Project Coordinator Alexander Schwarz, who highlighted several innovations, including the new, intuitive Web-Client that provides a unique and exciting ERP experience for all abas users.

Nichloas Galli, Managing Director of ECORGAN Ltd., sat down with Peter Forscht, COO of ABAS Software AG; Istvan Hoffer, Managing Director of InterJNET Computing Ltd; and Marius Capraru, Managing Director of Sistec, the local abas partner in Romania, to discuss the future of their international ERP project. “With our proven, global ERP methodology, abas GIM, we are able to successfully implement cross-border ERP projects,” said Peter Forscht. He later added,“Our global partner network makes it possible for us to sit here at Balaton to start the discussion at the executive level.” Peter Forscht later asked a local journalist who attended the event,“Do you know any other ERP vendor that can make this possible for their SME clients?”
Hungarian SMEs exchange ERP knowledge and participate in networking events
Several abas customers from Hungary also demonstrated how abas Business Suite supports them in their daily business and exchanged valuable information about their experience using the business software designed in Germany. The three-day customer event at Balaton offered the perfect setting for companies to come together, and not just learn from each other, but also establish new friendships at informal evening events that included music, games and performances by local artists.
ABAS Software AG (abas-software.com) and their local partner in Hungary expressed their gratitude to everyone that participated in the three-day event, and look forward to welcoming abas users in Hungary to Balaton again in 2014.
