abas-USA hosted their annual North American abas user Conference in Sterling, Virginia, from May 8-10. The three-day event was an opportunity for the abas-USA and ABAS Software AG team to showcase new features and innovations for the software package.

Alexander Schwarz, International Project Coordinator at ABAS Software AG, presented version 2013 and the newest additions and improvements to abas Business Suite. Jürgen Nöding, CTO of ABAS Software AG, conducted a Q&A session where abas users from North America could express requests and discuss future projects. Many topics were presented over the course of three days, including new abas functions for EDI, shipping planning, and packaging planning; new financial integration version 5 (FININ 5) an easier and faster way to manage transactions; information about the process and implications of changing valuation methods; new functions and techniques for DMS; new SIMCRON functionality for advanced planning and scheduling, and shop floor simulations; Business Intelligence in abas Business Suite; and new finance functions in abas.

Several customers presented their successful projects: Brad Strathe from Kasa Fabrication focused on developments in cost accounting; Alex Kris from Q-Tech expounded on abas innovations and developments; Gail Anderson from Moroso Performance Products discussed implementing eBusiness; and Rob Honeycutt, President of SafeRack, talked about Atlatl, a state-of-the-art configuration tool integrated into abas Business Suite. Several software partners also held presentations, including Avalara, DigitalShipper and ProCad.
