Richard Moriarty, has built a beautiful 3.5 acre vineyard and winery tucked in to Newport Beach’s Back Bay featuring Bordeaux style red blends. The Vineyards and Winery will host the 4th Annual La Notte Bianca fundraiser, which will benefit the Corazon de Vida Foundation, a charity that supports 14 orphanages (approximately 800 children) in Baja, Mexico between Tijuana and Ensenada.
Richard Moriarty and Loren Blackwood will graciously host a VIP pre-event tasting for event sponsors in their 3,000 square foot garage. VIP guests will have an opportunity to see Richard’s 1974 Lamborghini Countach mounted to the wall as an art piece, featured on HGTV’s Million Dollar Rooms. Guests donating $1,000 per couple will be honored as event sponsors and given an opportunity to attend the pre-event tasting.
Tickets for the event are $100 per person and provide access to the grounds, the beautiful wine cave, Estate Meritage tasting, a plentiful assortment of food pairings, entertainment and activities, and the noteworthy silent auction. “We have silent auction donations with values starting at $20 up to several trips valued over $5,000. The Silent Auction has been a highlight of this event each year and we expect every attendee to go home satisfied with their win” said Hilda Pacheco-Taylor, the Founder of Corazon de Vida.
Hilda Pacheco-Taylor founded Corazon de Vida 19 years ago after she went back to Mexico to visit the orphanage where she grew up and was shocked to find the home had lost most of its support. Hilda explains,“Mexico does not have a foster care system like the United States, so many of the orphanages are left to fend for themselves, competing for public and private funding. In addition to alleviating some of the financial challenges homes face to provide food and shelter for the kids, Corazon de Vida also provide a source of accountability, management consulting, designated funding for projects, and safe volunteer bus trips for American volunteers.”
