Astellia, a leading provider of mobile network and customer experience monitoring solutions, announces it has joined global industry body TM Forum, and as a new TM Forum member is participating in one of TM Forum’s Catalyst projects focused on Customer Experience Management (CEM).

TM Forum’s Catalyst rapid technology innovation projects are short-term collaborative projects that strive to create solutions for critical industry operational and systems challenges that are defined by end users such as service providers, MSOs, defense agencies, enterprise IT departments and more. Astellia is taking an active role in the CEM Catalyst, ‘Quantifying Customer Experience through Performance and Probe Measurement,” which demonstrates how vital quality of experience metrics for mobile broadband services can be enhanced by leveraging and combining network probe and performance data.

In this Catalyst, Astellia (astellia.com) will feed HP’s Customer Experience Assurance solution with unique high value data (Content & User Plane data) provided by Astellia’s high capacity (14Gbps) IP probes. These network probe data, enriched through deep packet inspection (DPI) embedded in Astellia’s intelligent probes, will be combined with performance data coming from MYCOM to deliver quantifiable QoE metrics for mobile broadband services. Live demonstrations of this Catalyst are taking place in The Hub at TM Forum’s Management World 2013, 13 - 16 May, Nice, France.
