Holey Soles announces the donation of 100,000 pairs of shoes to Soles4Souls Inc, a non-profit organization that provides footwear to needy people around the world. This is the largest single donation ever received by the organization.
“I’m proud that Holey Soles is able to help such a great organization make a difference,” said Joyce Groote, President & CEO of Holey Soles. “By donating 100,000 pairs of our shoes to Soles4Souls, Holey Soles is doing its part to help those who need it the most. Helping to improve the quality of life of those in need complements our vision of being a lifestyle products company. It also embodies our corporate culture of giving back and making a difference where we can. We are also grateful that TNT Freight Management has contributed to shipping these products to those in need.”
"Holey Soles has made an incredible gesture that will impact one hundred thousand lives," said Wayne Elsey, Founder of Soles4Souls and President of Kodiak-Terra, USA Inc. "We are incredibly thankful that Joyce and the team at Holey Soles have such big hearts for people all over the world and are willing to get involved in such a momentous way. These wonderful shoes will be distributed to people in several African countries, as well as Central and South America, and we couldn't be more pleased to deliver these shoes to people who will greatly appreciate the gift," he said.
By partnering with footwear companies such as Holey Soles, Soles4Souls is uniquely positioned to collect and distribute new and gently worn footwear to support its mission. And by partnering with caring individuals, companies, and charities around the world, Soles4Souls has the ability to sponsor popular footwear drives to reach needy people in North America and around the world.
The official announcement of Holey Soles’ fantastic donation to Soles4Souls will take place at the WSA Show in Las Vegas, February 1st-4th 2007. Both Holey Soles and Soles4Souls will be at the WSA Show.
Holey Soles has a strong charitable past. Holey Soles previously donated $260,000 worth of shoes to help victims ravaged by Hurricane Katrina, and has also donated money to victims of the Asian tsunami in Thailand.
At work or at play, Holey Soles are pretty hard to miss since their bright colour and distinctive design are now seen on feet everywhere: doctors, nurses, chefs, gardeners, boaters, expectant mothers, handymen, fashionistas, hikers, kids, teens and anyone else who wants fun, comfortable footwear. Due to their design, and the shock-absorbing properties of the foam, Holeys are incredibly comfortable to wear – even if you spend the whole day on your feet.
Holey Soles offers three different collections. Its original three popular clog models: the Social, the Explorer, and the Provider are part of the Classic Collection. The newest Getaway Collection, geared for the weekend and cottage lifestyle, has advanced foam technology to the next level by incorporating rubber on the sole. Other accessories such as bags and sun hats that complement this weekend lifestyle are also available. Watch for the Synergy Collection to be launched early this Spring.
