Vela brings 20+ years of experience in healthcare consulting, IT consulting, management, sales and marketing to MSS, where her initial focus will be expanding the MSS healthcare practice for providers in the southwest.
“With Laura’s vision and expertise, we can more effectively tailor our management consulting services with the skill set and knowledge base of our consulting teams to expand our footprint within the healthcare industry,” said Mike Hawksworth, President and CEO of MSS Technologies, Inc. Additionally, Vela will work with MSS leadership, to identify other opportunities within the healthcare industry to grow the MSS practice.
Vela comes to MSS from Harris; there Vela was their Healthcare Practice Leader and worked to optimize performance within local hospitals through the use of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions. Her prior experience includes serving as Sponsorship Chair for Arizona HIMSS, Director of Healthcare Advisory at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Associate Vice President at iGate Global Solutions.
