Ciber will leverage its proven implementation processes to migrate Hurley from multiple, disparate back-office systems to the Infor Healthcare Suite that includes Infor Lawson Supply Chain Management, Infor Lawson Financials and Infor HCM software.
As a publically owned medical facility, Hurley is contending with several challenges: comprehensive healthcare reform, a soft economy, the rising cost of medical care and an aging population. The Infor Healthcare Suite being implemented by Ciber is expected to help Hurley address these challenges by automating reporting, reducing costs and enabling business process rationalization. In addition, it will provide the medical center with a foundation for continuous improvement and the ability to rapidly respond to changing requirements, such as those potentially coming as public healthcare is redefined over the next several years.
“When it came to picking an implementation partner, we found that Ciber was well known in our industry,” said Gary Townsend, Hurley CIO. “Not only did Ciber have solid references, but we really liked the Ciber approach, which incorporates a collaborative solution design with solid and proven methodologies to keep implementations running efficiently.”
“Hurley wanted an implementation partner that can execute tactically while thinking strategically,” said Beth Dvoracek, Ciber’s senior Infor practice director. “And, they wanted a consulting firm with deep insight into the healthcare field. Ciber fits the bill.”
Ciber’s relationship with Infor dates back to 1995. As one of Infor’s largest systems integration partners, Ciber’s Infor experts have enhanced client systems capabilities through more than 2 million consulting hours. Ciber also has supported IT initiatives for hundreds of local government entities across the U.S. and in Europe.
