More than 40 men and women attended the Lehigh Valley Business Women of Influence winners’ photo reception on the evening of Thursday March 14, hosted at the Kitchen Magic Showroom in Nazareth. Beside some of the winners, attendees on Thursday included judges, sponsors and Lehigh Valley Business Staff.
Kitchen Magic, a family company owned by three sisters and a brother-in-law, was honored to host the Women of Influence cocktail and photo reception. The event was catered by a local Lehigh Valley restaurant and featured Lehigh Valley wine.
Lehigh Valley Business, a multimedia journal that offers weekly printed and daily e-newsletters regarding current events and business news from the Lehigh Valley, organized the event.
The Women of Influence event honors a total of 28 dynamic women in business from the Greater Lehigh Valley who are influential in their companies, industries and communities.
The Women of Influence recognizes 25 women leaders with a solid reputation based on experience, integrity and leadership. Each of the successful candidates also has a proven track record of accomplishments. The nominees were judged in 5 distinct areas: Career Accomplishments, Leadership, Vision, Community Service and Mentoring.
In addition, 3 special recognition awards will be presented:
Women to Watch: Presented to a woman, age 30 or under who is stepping up to help shape the Greater Lehigh Valley of tomorrow. Awarded to Maureen Thompson, Concannon Miller & Co.
Community Achievement Award: Presented to a woman who has dedicated a significant amount of time, energy and expertise to helping the Greater Lehigh Valley community organizations thrive. Awarded to Sherry Post, Simple Brandz Inc.
Lifetime Achievement Award: Presented to a woman who has committed her life to making the Greater Lehigh Valley a great place to work and life. Awarded to Sally Gammon, Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network.
