Montréal, Québec, Canada, 2013/03/21 - Toon Boom Animation, Inc. announced during 2013 Tokyo Anime Fair that Office Pri-On, one of Japan’s emerging animation studios, has signed a MoU formalizing their intention to use the Toon Boom pipeline, namely Toon Boom Storyboard Pro and Harmony - ToonB.

Toon Boom Forays into JapanTwo-time Emmy award recipient, Toon Boom Animation Inc. announced during 2013 Tokyo Anime Fair that Office Pri-On, one of Japan’s emerging animation studios, has signed a memorandum of understanding formalizing their intention to use the Toon Boom pipeline, namely Toon Boom Storyboard Pro and Harmony, in two of their upcoming productions.
One More Cup of CoffeeThe first project is Naoto Yamakawa’s “One more cup of coffee”, based on the five-volume manga published by Enterbrain. The second project is Office Pri-On original content developed in collaboration with Leiji Matsumoto’s “Zero Desigze”, both highly-popular properties in Japan.
“We intend to remain true to this unique style of drawing, by using innovative animation techniques and relying on an independent workflow, which would be a first in Japan. As a result, we are planning to use the Toon Boom pipeline, including Harmony. As the first studio in Japan to produce an animation project using Harmony, we would like to deliver a creative and unique program that will be well-received and serve as a model within the local industry,” states Mr. Yasuda Isao, President of Office Pri-On.
