Metalogix, the leading provider of content infrastructure software to improve the use and performance of enterprise content on Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange and Cloud platforms, today announced Metalogix Content Matrix has full support for organizations looking to migrate on-premise file shares and SharePoint content into the newest version of Office 365. Microsoft announced its new Office 365 offerings, including SharePoint Online, for small and midsize businesses and enterprise offerings on February 27.
In the recent SharePoint Content Survey, 45% of SharePoint professionals said they were anticipating moving some or all of their content to Office 365. However, the survey highlighted that there was a lack of robust migration solutions to the Cloud, and specifically Office 365. Because the traditional “database attached” approach is not available, organizations have commented that it is not feasible to move content to the Cloud manually since the process would be too slow, cumbersome, error prone and result in a loss of content metadata and history.
“The launch of Office 365 will provide organizations with the ability to manage and organize content in the cloud and Content Matrix will make that happen quickly and easily,” said Steven Murphy, CEO, Metalogix. “Content Matrix bridges this migration gap by delivering high-speed and high-fidelity content migration to Office 365 from any previous version of SharePoint (2003, 2007 and 2010) as well as file shares, Exchange Public Folders, blogs and wikis and legacy ECM.”

For customers looking to benefit from the new eDiscovery Center, Content Matrix also supports migrating content from Exchange Public Folders to Office 365.
