'Rise Up' is the first single set for release to radio off of vocal trance/electronic duo 'Not Again Mary's' debut CD 'Free' (distributed by The Orchard). 'Free' will be available March 1st, 2013 on itunes, Amazon, Emusic and hundreds of other online music stores. Comprised of singer/songwriter Raine Sumner & producer/songwriter Andrew 'Breo' Brereton, Not Again Mary hope their song 'Rise Up' will raise funds and awareness for the charity Elephant Voices
Born in the U.K. and raised in London, Ontario, Canada, Raine wrote and recorded this album via the internet with Breo, who lives in Stoke-On-Trent, U.K. They have created a collection of vocal trance/electronic songs that have emotive lyrics and strong melody lines, some with a social conscience, set against a backdrop of hypnotic beats and electronic synth sounds.
A music video for Rise Up was created to raise funds and awareness about the plight of elephants who are under duress from illegal ivory poaching and habitat encroachment. Elephant Voices mission is to inspire wonder in the intelligence, complexity and voices of elephants, and to secure a kinder future for them through conservation, research and the sharing of knowledge. For as little as a $1 donation to the charity Elephant Voices, Not Again Mary fans will receive Rise Up as a free download and a $20 gift certificate from gameduell for online games. The charity app link is on Not Again Mary's official website, notagainmary.com
“Rise Up, was written to motivate and inspire people that they can 'rise up' and make an impact for positive change in the world... that 'we've only just begun' to touch the surface of the many things we can do to make the world a better place”, says Raine Sumner. Albert Einstein famously said "The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing." Not Again Mary want their music to not only entertain people but to also contribute to making the world a better place by raising funds for charities such as Elephant Voices.
The title track 'Free' ÍÑ is another track on the album written with the goal of inspiring positive change in the world. Free was written to inspire protestors in countries such as Egypt, Libya, and Tunisia to keep up their fight for freedom and the right to live a life without corruption, poverty and oppression. Not Again Mary are not political people per se, but believe that all human beings have the right to live a life free of poverty, corruption, and oppression...and that is the motivation behind the lyrics for 'Free'.
Not Again Mary's music has received song placements on E! ENTERTAINMENT/MEN TV - 'The Art Of Building Bodies' - Episode #9 and their song 'She Fears' is in the Northern Iron Productions Independent Film 'Remake''
