Canada’s Siborg Systems Inc. has taken their innovative, handheld LCR-meter to new places with new distributors offering SMart Tweezers in over 27 countries worldwide, on 5 continents. With this insurgence in customers, Siborg launched new websites catering to each region, established a new calibration facility in Poland, and has begun development on a new model.
Smart Tweezers have revolutionized testing and troubleshooting electronics. With surface mount technology becoming the industry standard for manufacturing electronics, conventional bench type LCR-meters create problems while testing the tiny components. With just a touch of the ultra-precise tweezer tips to a component, Smart Tweezers automatically measures for Inductance, Capacitance or Resistance after identifying the component. The pocket sized device hosts such features as; Equivalent Series Resistance, diode and continuity tests, semi-automatic offset subtraction, adjustable test signals, component sorting with variable tolerances, and USB charging, all with a basic accuracy of 0. 2%. Due to a mechatronic design, SMart Tweezers has low and well defined parasitics, able to measure as low as 1 microhenry, 1 picofarad, and 1 milliohm, making the device indispensable for use in radio electronics, component sorting, on-board impedance testing and PCB debugging.
The new distributors of Smart Tweezers are; SIBBIS International (USA), Bokar International (USA), KT Technology (Indonesia), Dipaul (Russia), Production Solutions (Poland), Advance Tech Services (India), Van Device (Japan), CF System Technology (Malaysia), GoldTek (China), PrinTek (Netherlands) and Newly-Tsuchiyama (Japan). These new distributors all offer products for reworking, repairing, maintaining, and constructing electronics, and all agree that Smart Tweezers is a perfect fit among their products.
"By the nature of our business we are in direct contact with many Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturers and designers of new electronic products," says Yoshitaka Sato, Director at Van Device Ltd. "They all value Smart Tweezers, the ultimate LCR-meter for Surface Mount Technology (SMT). Light-weight, ease-of-use and accuracy make Smart Tweezers an indispensable tool for PCB debugging and testing as well as component characterization."
"In all electronic production lines, Smart Tweezers LCR-meter comes in handy perfectly complementing powerful but sometimes hard to use bench-type electronic test equipment. Smart Tweezers LCR-meter is an extremely useful tool, allowing to verify results of optical inspection," says Jason Yeh, Sales Manager at GoldTek Co. Ltd. in Suzhou, China.
Along with greater access to customers in so many more countries, Siborg launched multiple websites, each catering to regions by customer (USA, India, Canada, China, etc.) as well as the Smart Tweezers Blog. These websites feature a video introduction and tips for using the device, the blog features all the latest news about Smart Tweezers LCR-meter.
For customers in Europe, Siborg and Bokar International enlisted Production Solutions to establish a licensed calibration facility at Production Solutions in Poland. Previously, European users had to send their devices to one of the pre-existing facilities in; New Delhi, India, Pasadena, California and Waterloo, Ontario, sending the devices abroad could be a long and costly process. Companies that did not want to send their devices away usually resorted to a third party calibration method. This method does not change coefficients, but just compares the measurement values to those of “standard components”, this does not guarantee that Smart Tweezers is working at optimal performance. With a calibration facility located in Poland, European users have a more convenient location for their devices to be tested, providing a simpler solution in order to remain ISO compliant.
Siborg Systems’ Smart Tweezers are an indispensable, professional grade tool that is used by many major high-tech companies worldwide.
