Aras®, the leading enterprise open source Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software solution provider, today announced that J. Britton (“Brit”) Hutchins, CFA, has joined the company as chief financial officer. Mr. Hutchins has a proven track record of leadership at high growth technology firms and will manage finance, accounting and legal worldwide to drive Aras’s continued international expansion.
“Aras has achieved record growth for the last 5 years and as we continue to scale our business globally we needed an experienced CFO. We chose Brit for his depth of expertise, knowledge of the PLM industry and ability to think outside the box. With Brit on board, the Aras executive team is in place for further acceleration,” said Peter Schroer, President of Aras.
Prior to joining Aras, Hutchins was CFO at VISTAGY for 8 years. During his tenure at VISTAGY, the company experienced consistent year over year growth culminating in an acquisition by Siemens AG in 2011. A 25-year industry veteran in finance, legal, IT and operations, Hutchins has served in various executive level positions on Wall Street and in emerging high-tech companies, including Standish, Ayer & Wood, FaxNet and Sonexis. Throughout his career, Hutchins has focused on building growth companies, global expansion and corporate development.
Hutchins is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), sits on numerous boards and is a former board member of the Boston chapter of the Financial Executives International. He holds a BA in economics from Williams College and an MBA from Babson.
