Tennis For Free, fronted by Comedian, Actor and Author Tony Hawks, is a charity that aims to curb the decline of public park tennis facilities by populating UK public parks with vibrant tennis communities as a result of FREE coaching sessions open to all members of the public.
TFFDreamteam (tffdreamteam.com) runs for the 4 Grand Slam events providing fun, frustration and fantastic prizes. The Dream Team game aims to raise awareness of Tennis For Free and its campaign and programme to make public park tennis courts as busy as possible.
The competition is FREE to enter and great prizes such as a holiday for 4 people to Portugal are on offer. The game supported by Tony Hawks, Pat Cash, David Baddiel, Stephen Fry, Judy Murray and many other tennis fanatics and professionals, accepts entries from now until Sunday 13th January 11pm (GMT) when registrations will close ready for the competition to commence.
The scoring system involves each team having a fantasy £50m budget for each Mens & Ladies singles category. Each entrant will need to select 10 men and 10 women from their fantasy budget. Each tennis player competing in the Mens & Ladies singles events at the Australian Open will score points for Dreamteams that feature them:
• 1 point for each game won;
• 10 bonus points for a straight sets victory;
• 5 points 'Bagel Bonus' for each set won 6-0.
The competition also allows users to create Mini-Leagues to compete against friends & families in their own league as well as an opportunity to join in the TFF Champions Race that accumulates scores across all of the Grand Slam events.
Tony Hawks, comedian, author and co-founder of the Tennis For Charity commented,"TFFDreamteam is a fun little side show to increase awareness of the Tennis For Free charity. I'm creating a TFFDreamteam called Hawks' Heroes and if you beat it, then I promise that I will give you a free skateboard lesson. If I don't live up to my promise, you can complain at tonyhawk.com."
So test your tennis brain and battle against Tony Hawks and the likes of Stephen Fry, Pat Cash, Judy Murray and even 'Betty the Bulldog' (The TFFDreamteam Mascot) in registering your TFFDreamteam.
