After a long career in the British Horseracing industry followed by eight years as Marketing Manager at the Northern Racing College, Zoe decided to use her skills, experience and enthusiasm to strike out on her own and founded Elite Equine Consultancy.
Since it first launched, Elite Equine Consultancy has gone from strength to strength and demonstrated that new business can work even in the current economic climate. Although Elite is based in the East Midlands, they offer their services throughout the UK and have quickly established themselves as a leading name in equine industry marketing and health and safety, enjoying marked success and providing the local economy with a desperately needed boost.
Getting in the Saddle
In a recent interview, Elite founder Zoe Horne explained that it had taken a lot of courage and sleepless nights to make the decision to form her own company, but that the effort had been ‘more than worth it’.
‘A couple of years ago I never would have believed that I’d be at the helm of such a successful new business, ’ she commented ‘but now that I’m here I’m loving every minute and enjoying watching my company grow.’
Today, Zoe manages a team of professional consultants who provide health and safety, horse care and marketing consultancy throughout the country, many of whom are horse owners who regularly compete themselves. Zoe believes that her company ethos and experienced team is what sets Elite Equine Consultancy apart from its competitors.
‘Ever since we started, I’ve always made it my objective to provide every client with an exemplary service and the whole team have the necessary knowledge and enthusiasm to keep clients returning and to attract new ones!’
A Growing Market
Although many industries are still feeling the effects of the economic crash, Horse Racing remains huge in the UK, which means there’s plenty of opportunity for equine industry businesses to find their niche and provide a necessary service.
During her time at the Northern Racing College Zoe learned just how important health and safety was within a high risk industry like horse racing, which is what prompted her to form a company that filled a gap in the market.
Elite Equine Consultancy’s mix of marketing, horse care and health and safety consultancy proved to be exactly what the equine industry needed and today the Elite model is being implemented by equine companies across Britain.
‘We’re delighted to have helped so many businesses and horse owners boost their success with our consultancy service’ commented Zoe. ‘I hope that we’ll carry on doing so for a very long time!’
Zoe’s story illustrates that even in these tough economic times, with the right attitude and expertise it is possible to turn your passion into a profession and achieve huge success.
