Misty Acres Alpaca store and farm announces the launch of their new online store featuring products and clothing made in Maine, USA and Peru. The new website offers high-quality alpaca socks, sweaters, gloves, mittens and real alpaca fur hats at prices comparative to wool clothing.
“Alpaca clothing is 4 times warmer than wool, is hypoallergenic and moisture wicking. Many customers who cannot wear wool find alpaca clothing the perfect alternative. ” states owners Connie and Red Laliberte. “The most popular product we sell is alpaca socks. The Lalibertes are currently developing their own line of alpaca products from the fleece raised on their farm. These products will be under the “Direct from Misty Acres Alpaca” brand and will include socks, mittens, blankets and throws. They also plan to expand their online store over the coming months to include USA made rugs, throws, gloves and more.
Since its establishment five years ago, Misty Acres Alpaca Farm has grown from just a few alpacas to over 70 adult and baby alpacas. This year alone they have added over 20 baby (cria) to the fold.
Alpaca products can be purchased through the mobile store at state and regional events, at the on-site store or online at MistyAcresAlpaca.com. The on-site store and farm are generally open to visitors on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm or by appointment. Please call 207-370-4494 for hours and directions.
