Chester, Cheshire, United Kingdom, 2007/01/02 - Affinity Cards Limited, the UKs leading issuer of branded Prepaid MasterCards has today launched a spate of innovative branded travel cards with online travel company lastminute.com and the Thomas Cook youth brand Club 18-30.
Affinity Cards Ltd, the UKs largest issuer of Prepaid Cards have followed their successful stable of cards programmes launched in 2005 and 2006, with 2007's first new Travel Cards featuring some innovative and unique features.
Affinity Cards are already the only company offering online loading, or 'topping up', of their Prepaid Cards and have extended their reach to enable their latest Travel Cards, launched with premier online travel operators lastminute.com and Thomas Cooks successful youth brand Club 18-30, to be available via SMS text application.
Prepaid Cards may be applied for fully via text and subsequently loaded by SMS text whilst abroad, perfect for holiday makers who require more funds on their safe payment card.
Mark Kennedy, CEO of Affinity Cards, stated that, "Travel cards are well known as the most convenient and safe method of transporting every day funds abroad, we have aligned this with the most convenient every day method of communication for our cardholders."
Affinity Cards (affinity-cards.net) have also released their unique customer design feature whereby cardholders may during application upload their own personal photo's, which are then used as the image on the Prepaid MasterCard. Kennedy went on to say that "We would like travelers to carry prepaid cards with their own photo's both as a bit of fun but also as an extra level of security. A fraudster is far less likely to use a card with someone else's photo on the front."
Affinity Cards have committed to four further new launches in the first quarter of 2007 from the travel sector and retail sector.
