American fashion designer, Kareen Borgella is set to launch an exclusive Lady In Versailles inspired capsule collection to be held on December 6, 2012 inside the Juga Lounge at Kristalbelli in NYC. Singer-songwriter and former VJ, Baiyu will also present a special music performance.
The K.Borgella collection first made its Spring/Summer 2011 debut in 2010, receiving raving reviews from fashion industry insiders as a "designer who knows bold colors, sophistication, and a perfect fit". Kareen Borgella was the technical designer for brands such as Ecko Red, J.Crew, and Armani Exchange for years before deciding to launch her own collection. The K.Borgella collection has been featured in over twenty publications and is often requested by numerous celebrity stylists. The Spring/Summer 2012 collection was presented at New York Fashion Week's Nolcha, with a ready-to-wear collection that once again impressed media-fashion spectators.
Back and more innovative than ever, Kareen is ready to captivate the fashion industry with her Lady In Versailles inspired 2013 capsule collection, highlighting a range of red carpet ready dresses, to her signature feminine pieces coated with charm. Shoes to compliment the K.Borgella collection are provided by Princess London, a custom footwear company derived from the edgy streets of New York and London. About Baiyu
Baiyu is not your typical Asian-American Princeton bookworm. She was mentored by Grammy winning Hip-Hop veteran Nelly, and was recently seen on CW Network’s hit show “The Next”. As a singer/songwriter, Baiyu’s music videos are on rotation on MTV Networks and her story has been told on SoulTrain, The Source, and Vibe Magazine; as a fresh face on television Baiyu speaks for her generation as a VJ for mtvU and host on MYX TV; as a young fashionista, Baiyu has graced the pages of PYNK magazine and taken the world on a tour of Fashion Week through the lens of Papercut Magazine. In 2011, this musical talent and philanthropist released her second EP, Fan Fair, which took her all around the world, and allowed her to contribute the proceeds of her release to the Japanese Tsunami relief efforts.
