Eliosolar, Inc., a leader in building integrated solar thermal shade structures, has changed its name to BIO-TECture Inc. to better reflect the nature of its core business. This change is part of a larger re-branding effort to formalize the company's commitment to building integrated solar technology solutions for architects, construction and design-build firms. Immediate steps to launch the new branding for the company will include the much anticipated introduction of a new patent pending architectural shade structure designed with an integrated glazed flat plate solar collector for improved performance.
"The name BIO-TECture promotes the strong manufacturing background and solar integration expertise of our company," said Yves Lefay, the company’s founder and chief executive officer. "In 2013, we are releasing several exciting new products that combine shading and both solar thermal capture and electricity production in visually appealing products suited for residential and commercial applications. We feel that our new name, which stands for Building Integrated Organic Architecture, better reflects our positioning."
