Veterinarians Keith Latson, DVM, DACVS, of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Rob Franklin, DVM, DACVIM, of Weatherford, Texas, and marketing professional Rob Hendrickson of Fort Worth, Texas have teamed up to bring a pay-it-forward opportunity to the horse industry with the development of scientific equine nutritional supplements.

After treating more than 1,000 equids in Mexico for a variety of ailments during an Equitarian Initiative mission in October 2011, the veterinarians realized that by providing well-designed nutritional supplements to underdeveloped regions dependent on burros and horses, the people would be better able to care for their animals and families. The question then became,“what to do about it?”

The answer: FullBucket. FullBucket and its giving partners will support the nutritional needs of desperate animals through financial, personal and nutritional product support: For every FullBucket sold in the US, we give one to a working animal in need.

Dr. Latson received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University in 2001 and completed his Equine Surgery Residency at the University of California at Davis. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Franklin received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University in 1999 and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Florida. He is currently president of the Texas Equine Veterinary Association.

Rob Hendrickson was raised on a commercial cattle and quarter horse ranch in western South Dakota. His entire family was involved in his father’s rural veterinary practice. Rob has been responsible for marketing, advertising & sales planning for several Fortune 500 businesses.

About FullBucket Health

The FullBucket brand of Equine and Canine digestive care products (fullbuckethealth.com) was developed by veterinary specialists Rob Franklin, DVM, DACVIM and Keith Latson, DVM, DACVS to address the needs of their clinical patients and performance horse clients. During a volunteer veterinary outpost to Veracruz, Mexico in 2011 the two veterinarians distilled their vision of helping undernourished working animals in undeveloped regions achieve improved health and well-being through FullBucket’s Giving Initiative: for every serving of supplement sold, a serving of supplement specifically developed for the region is given to animals in need.
