Eagle Eye Resources is pleased to announce that it has begun initial exploration of its White Rock Gold Project, comprising over 2,500 acres within the Long Canyon trend, which is emerging as the richest gold trend in Nevada.
“We are delighted to have secured a significant number of key mining claims within the Long Canyon gold trend” remarked Thomas Bergman, managing partner of Eagle Eye Resources. “In forty years of mining, I have never seen claims with this much rich mineral potential.”
Although Nevada is now responsible for the production of about 80 percent of the world’s gold, many believe that the Long Canyon trend may prove to be the most significant find in Nevada’s long mining history. Such potential is attracting the attention of the world’s leading mining companies.
In 2011, Newmont Mining Corporation, one of the world’s largest gold companies, acquired Fronteer Gold for $2.3 billion which included its much sought after Long Canyon properties that Fronteer’s exploration revealed held a resource of more than two million ounces of gold. This exciting discovery, coupled with the structural model of gold deposits in the Long Canyon trend, has accelerated exploration in the area with the world’s leading mining companies jockeying for position. Eagle Eye Resources is right in the thick of it with almost 300 un-patented federal mining claims within this remarkable gold trend.
Eagle Eye’s White Rock Gold Project runs directly adjacent to the Angel Wing claims in the Long Canyon trend being developed by Newmont, Miranda Gold Corp. and Timberline Resources. Miranda is reporting two ounces gold per ton on the surface and one-half ounce gold per ton in the drill assay results on their claims just west of Eagle Eye’s White Rock Gold Project. Newmont has additional claims to the immediate north of the Eagle Eye properties. Surface grab samples of the White Rock Gold claims show the same type of ore hosted in the same rock as Newmont’s Long Canyon gold properties.
In keeping with its business model, Eagle Eye Resources is seeking a joint venture partner for its White Rock Gold Project.
