London, United Kingdom, 2012/10/29 - Nephos Technologies Ltd can today announce that the Government Procurement Service, an executive agency of the Cabinet Office, has selected us to deliver components of the G-Cloud II Framework Agreement - NephosTechnologies.com.
Nephos Technologies Ltd has been approved to supply a range of services to the UK public sector community as part of “Lot 4” of the G-Cloud Framework. This will enable customers to make use of Nephos Technologies Cloud Brokerage platform and independent Cloud Feasibility study, as well as a number of other services, as a best value partner.
Marie-Helene Durif, Head of Sourcing & Category Management - ICT, at the Government Procurement Service, explains the theory behind the G-Cloud II Framework Agreement and Nephos Technologies role within it:
“At the Government Procurement Service our priority is to provide procurement savings for organisations across the UK public sector. The inclusion of Nephos Technologies to the G-Cloud II Framework Agreement will strengthen our offering and provide public sector buyers with a tried and tested route to achieve value for money.”
As a growing Cloud services organisation, Nephos Technologies also recognize the significance of their inclusion into the Framework Agreement as Lee Biggenden, one of the businesses Co-Founders explains:
“For a UK based technology startup, being recognized by the Government Procurement Service as an organisation that can bring something new and valuable to that market place is something we’re very proud of. The award provides us with a mechanism to engage with public sector organisations to identify how best to make use of Cloud services, to quantify the benefits of their use and to overcome the challenges that they face when deploying Cloud services”
About Nephos Technologies Ltd
Most organisations are now beginning to drag Cloud Services from the periphery of their IT strategy to the core. This does however bring with it a number of questions: How do I know which cloud services to use? How do I know which cloud provider is right for my business? How can I manage different cloud providers? How do I guarantee data sovereignty?
As one of the UKs first independent Cloud Service Brokers we exist to help our customers answer these questions. We develop and execute Cloud strategies, migrate services to the Cloud whilst avoiding Cloud Lock-in, and provide a single point of billing, management and orchestration for Cloud services across multiple providers
