The 3rd annual Canibeat’s First Class Fitment show was held at the Princeton Airport in Princeton, New Jersey Saturday, October 13th. This event caters to the lowest, widest, and most well executed cars with aggressive wheel fitment. All makes and models are accepted, and one that stood out was a Mitsubishi Evo owned by Mickey Orlando. Mickey chose to arrive seated on custom tan and brown leather Icon Ring GTX and Spa Status Racing seats.
The Ring GTX offers a flared out portion on the thigh bolsters to accommodate even more space. Its slight V shape still gives great support in the leg area, but without compromising function. The top is narrower to fit both larger drivers and smaller tuner cars.
The Spa, named after the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, is the venue of the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix and the Spa 24 Hours Race. Originally a triangle shape, the course used public roads between the Belgian towns of Spa, Malmedy, and Stavelot. Status Racing developed this seat to offer the driver great street comfort and support, while maintaining security with enhanced bolsters. The back shell of the seat is carbon fiber, and through the use of the custom Icon Configurator, it can be painted black or a color to match a vehicle. The bottom frame of the seat is metal to ensure the strongest in safety and function.
At Status Racing (statusracing.com), the goal is to provide top quality products with a unique personalized taste while focusing on safety. They have provided an industry first for seats, allowing the customer to go online and configure their seat based on material, stitching, logo color, center cushion, and seat backing.
